Happy New Year!!!

 

I'm back and ready to bring you more insights and adventures in 2024!

I will do my best to keep you up to date on the latest and greatest tech that I can get my hands on (and possibly break).  While I'm in the process of that, I'll try and give you my impressions from hands on use both on successes and failures.

However, if I can't get my hands on it, I'll do the best research I can and give you my take on the hardware and software that has the potential to change our lives.

This year I can pretty much guarantee that we will see more and more progress made in AI.  We'll continue to see some amazing things in that space, both in dentistry and healthcare to our lives in general.  As I've said before, AI has made a lot of inroads into the backbone of our tech lives and, although you might not have really 'seen' much of it, trust me that it is there and continuing to grow.

I don't look upon that as a bad thing; not at all.  Like all progress, both digitally as well as analogue, there is a potential for amazing good, but there is also the potential for bad things as well.  It's going to be up to us as a society to put some rules down to make sure AI benefits the greater good.  That will require our elected officials (and I say OUR with great emphasis... after all, they *work* for us), but it will also be up to us as individuals to "do the right thing".  I once was a sign in a locker room that said "You are truly yourself when no one else is around.  Act with honor."  I truly believe that.

Now that I've gone all philosophical on you, let's reel it back in and get ready for 2024 and the great wave of progress we'll ride into the future!
