As a lot of you probably know, I'm a big fan of outside the box thinkers. Often incredible solutions keep coming from a few sources. People like Leonardo DaVinci have a unique ability to imagine things that solve problems by coming at them in a way no one else would consider.
There are some people like that in dentistry... and one of them is Dr. Simon McDonald. I've known Simon for probably two decades and I'm always impressed with his ideas. Probably a lot of you don't recognize his name, but you'll recognize his designs and products. He was the mastermind behind the Triodent (also known as the Palodent) sectional matrix system.
He is a dentist who lives in New Zealand and comes up with some of the best outside the box solutions I've ever seen and used. I love hanging out with him because he's one of those people who you listen to and always come away with some incredible nuggets of knowledge.
