No one wants to lose their money on bad investments (me included) so I feel this influx of capital into the AI space holds good things for the future. New capital will accelerate market expansion, partnerships and product development to improve dental care for thousands of patients
BOSTON – January 28, 2025 – VideaHealth, the leading dental AI company, today announced that it has raised $40 million in a Series B funding round, bringing the company’s total funding to over $70 million. Led by Emily Melton, co-founder and managing partner of Threshold Ventures, with participation from Avenir Ventures, BAM Ventures and existing investors Spark Capital, Zetta Venture Partners and Pillar VC, this new capital will enable VideaHealth to meet the demand for its solutions from DSOs and individual dentists.

According to a recent report issued by Fortune Business Insights, the U.S. dental services market is projected to reach $216.33 billion by 2030, with this expansion driven by greater awareness of oral health and AI solutions. Additionally, VideaHealth’s survey found that Americans are more likely to accept dentist’s recommendations for oral care, if AI validated their diagnosis.
