How IoT Can Make Cattle Farming Easier

The illustration above is not science fiction.  The IoT (Internet of Things) is changing our world in a lot of ways, and one of those ways is in cattle farming.
Using technology similar to what can be found in your FitBit or even more advanced, cows can wear sensors that wirelessly transfer information to the farmer/rancher.
While it can be used to find a lot animal, the sensors can do a lot more than that.  They can measure vital signs (indicating a sick animal way before they begin to show noticeable symptoms), scare away predators, and tell how long an animal has been idle.
The software these sensors communicate with can be setup to notify humans when their intervention is needed.
A lost or sick animal can cost farmers money and this is just one more way to help prevent that.

  1. Smart farming based on IoT technologies enables growers and farmers to reduce waste and enhance productivity ranging from the quantity of fertilizer utilized to the number of journeys the farm vehicles have made, and enabling efficient utilization of resources such as water, electricity, etc. Click here to know more about
