Twitter Music in Now Online

Screen Shot 2013-04-21 at 9.35.23 PM.png
The graphic above is a screen shot of the Twitter Music Service that I blogged about last week.  If you click here, you will get the login for the site and then you'll see something similar to the screen shot above.
It's a very cool idea.  The trending music is shown in order and clicking on one of the thumbnails will play you a sample of the music which then scrolls on to the next tune, plays a sample, next tune, etc.  If you have a Spotify Premium account, you can hear the full song.
You can also access iTunes or compose a Tweet about the song or artist.
This is a nice way to discover music that you might never hear of any other way.  It seems to be a fact of life that at some point all of us reach a spot in our lives where we just don't have the interaction with friends anymore where we learn about new music.  When you are young and hanging out, it's not uncommon for someone to ask you if you've heard a certain song or artist.  However, as you get older those moments seem to stop.  I think this is a great way for Twitter users to get a fresh influx of artists to explore.
I think it could also be handy for someone like me who is in healthcare.  It gives me an idea what some of my younger patients may be listening to and that gives me one more way to reach them and to be able to talk to them.  Good stuff!!!
