We seen hackers becoming more and more sophisticated and some companies and banks are implementing 2 step verification to help prevent them.
The idea is when you want to authorize a computer to access your data, a code is sent to your mobile phone. The code must be entered in your computer within a specified time or access is denied.
While no system is perfect, this one works pretty well. It has been used by Google for a while now and just in the last 6 months or so it has become available from Apple.
The graphic above has been circulating on the Internet. Of course it could be a hoax, but given the number of companies moving to 2 step, my gut tells me it's true. No word on when it will arrive, but as soon as it is, I'd sign up for it...
