Thanks to UOP and the Gang from ActionRun!

On Friday I was at the University of the Pacific dental school lecturing on "Emerging Technologies".  It was a fun day and I really enjoyed the people who came out and stayed all day with me.

It was a bit of a crazy trip.  I got to San Francisco on Thursday evening and slept at the Hotel Kabuki in Japan town.  On Friday I lectured at UOP and then headed to the CalTrain station.  From there I took a 45 minute train ride south to Mountain View (home of Google) and got a chance to have dinner and spend a few hours with my friends from ActionRun.

If you haven't taken a look at ActionRun's product called Practice Activator, you really should.  In a nutshell, the program contacts patients you may consider "lost" to your practice and brings them back by sending them personalized letters.  We've been using the service since late summer 2010 and have mightily impressed with the results.  Give them a call and tell them John Flucke told you to contact them.  You'll be glad you did!

So after meeting & eating with the ActionRun guys, they dropped me back at the San Francisco airport for my return flights to KC.  I flew all night, leaving SF at about 11 pm and landing in Chicago at 4:30 am.  From there I hopped my connection at 7:00 and was back in KC at 8:30 am.  Needless to say I was a bit of a zombie today.  Sleeping on flights is never easy for me and this one was no exception.  However, I would much rather be groggy in Kansas than have to travel all day Saturday to get home.

Sometimes travel can just be purely crazy and this was one of those times.  However, I had zero problems with the flights which is always a good thing!  Enjoy your Saturday!
