For a while now I've been wondering what the big deal is about 3D TV. While I can see some applications for it in medical fields, I just haven't seen practical applications for consumers.
Even when companies began to figure out how to get rid of the glasses, I still thought it was a solution looking for a problem. Now comes news out of Japan that even that gadget happy country can't get these things off the shelves.
Toshiba put 2 models on the shelves in December and sold less than 500... that's right, 500 units for the month.
Personally, at least for now, I'm personally content with Blueray & HD...
