Osspray - A Better Way to Polish

I've recently been introduced to a company called Osspray. Their idea is simple... yet better. Rather than using some type of an air polisher such as a Cavijet loaded with a mild abrasive, why not make the powder part of the treatment?

From their website:

Sylc is calcium sodium phosphosilicate, a powerhouse of bioactive materials with decades of proven benefits. When combined with saliva or water, Sylc forms hydroxycarbonate apatite crystals (HCA) that become entrapped into the collagen of dentin and biologically bond into the mineral surface to promote regeneration of dentin and damaged tooth surfaces. Unlike traditional desensitizing varnishes or pastes, Sylc provides superior relief from painful hypersensitivity without unsightly discoloration or unpleasant taste or feel.
With Sylc, you can instantly:
  • occlude more open dental tubules than with other treatments
  • provide long lasting efficacy that won’t be washed away or dissolved
  • reduce hypersensitivity for up to 6 months

So, I'm thinking, why not give this a try? We'll be using it on patients very soon and we're anxious to get feed back.

For all the details, check out the website.

  1. Hi,

I came across your blog over the course of doing some research. I'm working on some future advertising for Sylc and am wondering how it's working out for you. What you liked about the product, what you thought came up short, etc. I'd love to hear your opinions. You're welcome to email me off list if you want.
