The good folks at ZAP! lasers have sent me a Styla Diode to evaluate. This is the smallest diode laser for dentistry currently available. It is cordless, has a cordless foot control, and puts out up to 2 Watts of power with an 810nm wavelength.
It's been on the market for just a tad less than a year. It's quite an amazing little device and I have so far been impressed with the packaging. It is currently charging and I'll be using it in a variety of cases over the next few weeks.
If you have questions, please comment and I'll see what I can do to answer them. The evaluation should be completed in a month or 2.
