Barnes & Noble in Lawsuit over Nook

It seems there may be more to the story of the Barnes & Noble Nook e-book reader than just the device itself. Yesterday, a company called Spring Design filed a lawsuit claiming that they showed their design to Barnes & Noble before B&N designed the Nook.

While the devices function quite differently, they do look a lot alike. And when you combine the looks with the fact that Spring Design had Barnes & Noble signing Non-Disclosure Agreements so regarding their Alex device... well it certainly looks suspicious. They even both run the Android operating system.

Of course, that's what the courts are for. This is definitely something I'll be following.
