Oxysure Portable and Safe Emergency Oxygen System

oxysure.jpg
As health care providers, we dentists know the importance of being able to deliver positive pressure oxygen quickly and reliably in a medical emergency.

In the past 2-3 years society has seen a rapid increase in the proliferation of public AED's (Automated Electronic Defibrilators) to help those experiencing a cardiac crisis. I can imagine if you were able to pair that with a readily available supply of oxygen that it would increase the afflicted person's chance of survival.

The other problem with oxygen as it is commonly used today is that it is normally stored in pressurized cylinders (sometimes called tanks). These can be dangerous for a lay person to use as they must be handled carefully to avoid injury/disaster. If you don't believe me, take a look at this video from the Mythbusters.

What makes Oxysure such a smart idea is that the Oxygen is not stored in a cylinder but is created by a chemical reaction. The unit will provide oxygen for 15 minutes at a flow rate of 6 liters per minute.

The price of the unit is $349 and all the info can be read here.
