Sprint expanding 4G Clear Wimax service to 10 Cities during 2009 Calendar Year

A couple of years ago, Sprint began working on a project it called "Xohm" which would be the company's 4th generation (4G) wireless network. As they project progressed, they merged it with Clearwire and changed the name to "Clear". The wireless broadband service has been rolled out slowly to ensure getting the kinks out and it's currently only available in Baltimore.

Now we get word that Sprint is planning on adding 10 more cities to the list. They are (in alphabetical order) Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Forth Worth, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Portland, and Seattle. Next year, that will also expand to Boston, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. I'm not sure why we can't have KC on the list. I mean, we're the home of Sprint. What gives?

Anyway, here's hoping it works. I love the idea of wireless broadband everywhere!
