Lares Extends Agreement With Fotona

For the past 3.5 years I've been using the Powerlase AT from Lares Research.  The laser is a 2 laser system in one unit.  It features a Nd:YAG soft tissue laser and an Er:YAG laser.  The advantage of this system is the ability to have 2 lasers in the footprint of one laser.  I had purchased a Lares Nd:YAG in 1997 and didn't want to have antoher large footprint item.  In my old location, I flat out didn't have the space.  The Powerlase AT was a dream come true for me.  I use it every day, it requires no service policy, and it never breaks down.  Needless to say, I was thrilled to read that Lares has agreed to continue their association with Fotona.  Here is the press release:

Chico, CA - Lares Research has extended its agreement with Fotona, the leading European manufacturer of all-tissue dental lasers, for an additional five years. Under the new agreement, Lares Research continues as the exclusive U.S. distributor of Fotona's all-tissue Er:YAG and Nd:YAG dental lasers currently sold under the Lares laser model names PowerLase AT and PowerLase HT. The new agreement also provides for Fotona and Lares to work closely together on the development of new lasers and new laser clinical applications, in addition to enhancements to the existing products.

Lares is a recognized leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of oral cutting technology, supplying dentists with precision handpieces and high performance lasers worldwide. The company has been an innovator in the field of dental lasers since it began offering lasers to dental clinicians in 1997.

"Lares Research and Fotona have worked very well together since 2005," says Craig Lares, President of Lares Research. "We have a shared vision of what American dentists need to successfully incorporate laser technology in their practices. Over the next five years we expect our partnership to be of even greater benefit to American dentists and their patients."
